We are delighted to announce that Home Instead South Cheshire has become an official sponsor of Alsager Nub News, enabling us to continue providing local news, photos and features about this wonderful town.

Home Instead South Cheshire was acquired and rebranded in December 2020 after owner Nick Lamming bought and renamed the former Home Instead Crewe business, which had run for 13 years.

Nick has spent his entire career working in the home care sector, starting as a CAREGiver with his family's own Home Instead franchise, whilst he was still at university.

Over the following decade, Nick worked hard and dedicated himself to learning about all aspects of domiciliary care, which allowed him to progress through various roles to become General Manager at Home Instead Wirral.

Nick holds an MBA from Liverpool John Moores University, which added to his 10 years' experience working across all aspects of domiciliary care, makes him the perfect person to lead the successful growth of Home Instead South Cheshire.

He is committed to making Home Instead the best local home care provider to work for and to providing outstanding levels of care to all Home Instead's clients across the South Cheshire area.

Their caring and professional CAREGivers support people at home with dedicated home care services in Alsager, Crewe, Nantwich, Sandbach, Whitchurch and the surrounding areas.

Reflecting on the first four months of Home Instead South Cheshire, Nick told Nub News: "It has been absolutely fantastic, it was the right time for me and it is so rewarding to own a really successful franchise."

Home Instead CAREGivers know that home is where their clients feel happiest, and want to help them continue living at home, comfortably and independently.

They focus on a person-centred, relationship-led approach, spending at least an hour with every client, as they place companionship at the heart of their work.

Karl Hancock, Nub News founder and chief executive officer, said: "To have such a highly respected company as our first Alsager sponsor is really exciting.

"Home Instead's core value of working from the heart of their community to provide outstanding care for residents perfectly complements what we are doing at Nub News."

While matching a local senior with the right CAREGiver, the Home Instead team carry out a full consultation with the client and their family.

Home Instead South Cheshire already employs people of all ages and walks of life and is looking to expand their team by recruiting a further 50 CAREGivers over the next six months.

A background in elderly care is not required to work for Home Instead; in fact, 70 per cent of new recruits have no professional experience, although they may have looked after a family member or friend in the past.

Nick said that their CAREGivers are carefully selected to match the personality of the person they will be visiting.

Home Instead, choose people for their enthusiasm, friendliness, warmth and empathy as well as their range of interests above their professional background.

This is what helps to build a relationship with the person they care for and their family.

With this in mind, the key question for prospective CAREGivers is: "Do you have a big heart? Will you enjoy the time you spend with these people?"

Nick said that high-quality one-to-one training is extensively provided to their CAREGivers to give them the confidence, knowledge and skills to care for older people.

So, if you are interested in making a difference to older people's quality of life by becoming a CAREGiver, Home Instead South Cheshire would like to hear from you!

You can call the office based in Nantwich on 01270 611555 to find out more about joining their fantastic team.

Alsager Nub News is excited to share further news of Home Instead South Cheshire's valuable community initiatives with you in the future!
