A video of the first Covid-19 vaccination day in Alsager has been released.

The first vaccinations at The Thirteen Club, on Cedar Avenue, Alsager, were administered on 8 January and further clinics have been carried out at the site since.

NHS Cheshire clinical commissioning group (CCG), the body responsible for organising the county's vaccine roll-out released the video (above).

Eighteen GP-led COVID-19 vaccination sites are up-and-running across Cheshire.

A spokesperson for NHS Cheshire clinical commissioning group, said: "As Cheshire's GP practices are working together to vaccinate people, you might not be contacted by your usual practice and you might need to go to a different location for your vaccination – you will be told where to attend when you are invited in."

The SMASH Care Community group, which helps coordinate community healthcare across the local area (Sandbach, Middlewich, Alsager, Scholar Green and Haslington), has been working together with the NHS CCG and Cheshire East Council to deliver the Covid-19 vaccination to their patients.

Further clinics are scheduled to take place in Middlewich and Alsager this weekend.

The care community group will start contacting group four of the vaccine roll-out next week, which is the 70 to 75-year-olds and the extremely clinically vulnerable.

Group four across the SMASH area consists of 6000 people.

SMASH Primary Care Network (PCN) is made up of seven local GP practices, Merepark Medical Centre, Greenmoss Medical Centre, Cedars Medical Centre, Ashfields Primary Care Centre, Oaklands Medical Centre, Waters Edge Medical Centre and Haslington Surgery.
