Children's Support Worker

The position is from a childrens residential support worker in Alsager with a salary of £27,654 per annum inclusive of sleep in shifts for a 37.5 per week.

You must have experience of working with vulnerable children in a residential setting and must have full rights to work in the UK. No sponsorship is available.

You must be willing to work towards an NNQ Level 3 in children's residential care. KPI Care are working closely with a Children's Residential Home provider in the Alsager.

We are looking for an experienced Children's Residential Support Worker to assist the team in the delivery of quality service to meet the assured needs of children and young people.

The role as a Children's Residential Support Worker:

  • To work with children and young people according to the individual s needs, providing focussed work as planned and directed.
  • To assist in the co-ordination of activities within the Unit and ensure that they are well managed and produce safe and consistent care.
  • To be involved in and organise activities which are in the best interests and meet the needs of those looked after.
  • To promote professionalism at all times.
  • To encourage the culture of flexibility and team working amongst the workforce and be prepared to work in other homes if required.
  • To be an effective role model for other members of staff.
  • Participate in training courses as arranged and undertake professional training if the opportunity is offered though secondment.
  • To work flexible hours including: weekends, bank holidays.
  • Observe confidentiality at all times in relation to the Home and its residents, recognising the vulnerability of the residents.

Qualifications and Experience as a Childrens Residential Support Worker:

  • Good communication skills
  • Good numeracy and literacy skills
  • Have a flexible approach to work, location, duties and hours
  • Ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of child care legislation & regulations

Optometrist

 An independent optical group is now looking for a Registered Optometrist to join their experienced team in the Alsager area, offering up to £65,000 per year DOE.

Well-established and highly rated, the practice uses longer 45-minute test times and advanced clinical technology, including OCT and UWF retinal imaging system, to provide in-depth care to both adults and children.

Supported by the Practice Manager and long-standing team of Opticians and Assistants, you ll be well-equipped to build lasting patient relationships and provide exceptional tailored service each and every time.

With high value at the heart of the practice, from day one you ll be supported with your continued professional development, including CET training and accommodations for further education.

This is a permanent, full-time (40h) position for a Registered Optometrist. The practice is open Mon-Sat so there is no Sunday working, working pattern can be discussed.

Person specification:

  • (Essential) GOC-accredited Optometry degree (BSc Optometry, BOptom or equivalent/higher)
  • (Essential) Registration with the GOC as an Optometrist
