Firefighters put out a blaze in a car near Alsager

Alsager firefighters used a hose reel jet to put out a blaze in a car on fire in Church Lawton.

They were called out to the incident in the early hours of Thursday morning in Knowsley Lane at 1.54 am.

A Cheshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: "  Crews attended a vehicle that was well alight in Church Lawton.

"Firefighters used a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire. Police were also in attendance. All persons accounted for."
