A group for women in Alsager is holding a fashion show and pop-up shop to raise money for a mental charity for children and young people.

Alsager Ladies Circle is holding the event for Visyon on Monday (September 18th) at Alsager Golf & Country Club in Audley Road.

And they are urging as many people as possible to go along to the event to raise as much money as possible for Visyon.

The charity is this year's chosen charity for Alsager Ladies Circle and holds a special place for one of its members.

The chair of Alsager Ladies Circle, Tracy Mould, has first-hand knowledge of Visyon.

Her 12-year-old daughter has accessed the service and she can't speak highly enough of it.

"My daughter suffers with anxiety and was quite ill at the beginning of last year," said Tracy.

"Our GP was great but there is hardly any funding for children mental health so Visyon stepped in.

"They were amazing and turned things around for us. They first offered counselling sessions, then mentoring and now my daughter just goes there for group sessions."

Visyon offers a variety of services to promote positive mental health and wellbeing, including creative and therapeutic groups, one-to-one therapy, support in schools, mentoring, family support and parent webinars.

Tracy added: "Because of the help Visyon provided when I took over as chair for the Circle it was an easy choice to make having them as the charity of the year.

"The money we made running the tea tent at Alsager Carnival will go to Visyon and we are hoping to run a couple more events before I step down next April."

Doors open at 6.30 pm and tickets for the show, which starts at 7 pm, cost £7.
