Election day in Alsager: Six candidates vying for East Ward vacancies

Residents have until 10pm tonight (Thursday, 29th July) to vote in the Alsager East Ward by-election.

There are six candidates to fill the two vacancies after Jo Dale and Julia Hawkins, two former Labour Alsager Town Councillors, announced their resignations in May.

The Candidates:

- Brian Drake (Labour Party)

- Amelia Helliwell (Conservative Party)

- Lindsay Horne (Labour Party)

- Reg Kain (Liberal Democrats)

- Richard McCarthy (Green Party)

- Rosie Redstone (Conservative Party)

The situation of polling stations and the description of persons entitled to vote thereat can be seen in picture two (below).

Applications to register to vote must have reached the Electoral Registration Officer by midnight (12am) on Tuesday, 13th July 2021.
