Cheshire East Council has issued information about Christmas hours for its household waste and recycling centres -including the Alsager centre. 

They say all household waste and recycling centres across the borough will close as normal on Christmas Day.

The sites, including Alsager Household Waste Recycling Centre in Hassall Road, will also close on other days.

These are: Monday 26th December, Tuesday 27th December, Sunday 1st January and Monday 2nd January.

A spokesperson said: "We thank you for your patience and wish all our residents a restful festive season."
