Cranberry Academy has taken the "unfortunate decision" to close the school due to the power still being out following a power cut.

The school has made the decision to close following consultation with Cheshire East Council and the Multi Academy Trust.

Parents have been asked to make their way to their usual collection points at the following times:

- Nursery: 10:35am

- Reception: 10:45am

- Y1: 10:35am

- Y1/2: 10:35am

- Y2: 10:40am

- Y3: 10:40am

- Y4: 10:40am

- Y5: 10:50am

- Y5/6: 10:50am

- Y6: 10:50am

A spokesperson for Cranberry Academy said: "Please let other parents know in case they do not see this message.

"All Year 5 and Year 6 students will need to be collected by an adult. No children are allowed to walk home by themselves.

"Telephones are not working, please only email the school if you are going to be late or are having issues.

"Thank you for your understanding and co-operation."
