Church Lawton based writer's show, 'Eric's Full Monty', on stage as 25th anniversary concludes

Audiences are currently getting a taste of a Church Lawton based writer and producer's show 'Eric's Full Monty' on stage in Newcastle-under-Lyme.
David Graham is the name behind the famous Eric shows which have been an institution at the New Vic Theatre for over the past 25 years.
The current production, Eric's Full Monty finishes tomorrow night (December 10th). First staged in summer 2021, Eric's Full Monty sees Eric finally settling down!
He's moved in with Bev and everything is going as well as can be expected in the land of domestic bliss. Everything except money that is.

Eric's starting to worry, but Bev's got a plan and starts working on their own version of The Chippendales. Eric dismisses it as nonsense and wants nothing to do with it but when Bev surrounds herself with four hunky young men and he's left out he changes his mind and wants in.
When the night comes though, will Eric and the boys be brave enough to do… the 'full monty'? Or will they leave their hats on?
David Graham, producer and star of the 'Eric' shows, said: "I had first suggested Eric's Full Monty as a title in 2019 in a meeting with two senior members of management at the New Vic Theatre.
"They both approved the idea (rather too enthusiastically, I thought!) and we planned to make it the summer show of 2020.
"However, covid-19 had other ideas and it kept getting pushed forward until we were finally able to stage it in 2021.
"Whilst I was delighted to see it happen then, my delight is now ten-fold as we get the opportunity to bring it back to the stage as part of the 25th anniversary year of the Eric shows, particularly as it was voted the production most people would like to see repeated.
"It will be a perfect end to what has been a great year with three Eric productions (including the 25th Anniversary concerts) and the usual amazing reaction from our loyal audience who make every visit to the New Vic for us an absolute joy."
David Graham splits his time between Church Lawton and London and is fond of the Eric character he created and the show which are set in the 60s.
"I was in a band in my youth and have always loved playing the guitar," said David previously.
"I was besotted with music and the Beatles like so many people ad the American West coast music."
During lockdown, David wrote a novel about Eric, 'Eight Days a Week, packed with all the fun of the loveable character.
"He's a bit like a northern version of Del Boy and Rodney," says David. "He's everything you wouldn't want a man to be."

David, who originally hails from North Wales and did English and Drama at Swansea University, loves writing in is Church Lawton home.
"It's a great place to write and relax and I am very lucky," says David who loves the area.

"It's very central, has great transport links and lovely towns nearby like Alsager."
David writes much of his work at his Church Lawton desk, overlooking tranquil countryside which provides the place to think and work.
