Alsager's new high-end Asian cocktail bar and restaurant is finally opening – after a series of delays.

The door to The Vault is finally being unlocked at 5 pm today (Thursday) to the new social dining venue situated in a converted old bank in the town.

The venue was due to open on September 11th but the owners revealed there had been a slight delay.

They said on Social Media yesterday (Wednesday) that they were "delighted to announce that The Vault will open tomorrow".

They added: "This week, we will operate a drinks only service. Walk ins welcome…first come first served

"If you have a future reservation with us, we will be in touch to confirm your table. If our delayed opening means your booking has now passed, we will be in touch to reschedule.

"At present, we wish to prioritise existing bookings and rescheduling those that have been missed - we are not accepting new bookings. Bookings will re-open soon. "

The Vault say opening hours this week are: Thursday: 5pm – close, Friday: 5pm - close and

Saturday and Sunday: 12 midday – close.

It says it will offer "international cuisine" with an emphasis on food from the far east, including Japanese and Korean style dishes.

The bar and restaurant was named The Vault in reference to its former use – the town's former Barclays Bank.

Part of Caster's of Cheshire Group, which also owns Caster's in Lawton Road, Bradley Lancaster, of the Caster's group, appointed Daniel Matthias Architecture, to work in partnership with him to transform the building.

Head chef is Adam Steele who has worked at Michelin starred venues and for the Queen at Buckingham Palace.
