Alsager School has pledged its support for a more sustainable future – the school has announced it is no longer supplying disposable cups for drinks.

Students at the Hassall Road school are being urged to bring a reusable drinks container each day which can be filled at various water fountains around the school.

It revealed in a tweet on social media: "The largest impact we can have is to change habits and reduce reliance on plastic."
