Alsager councillor waits for outcome of May elections after he was voted in as Cheshire East mayor-elect

Alsager councillor Rod Fletcher was voted mayor-elect of Cheshire East at a recent meeting of the full council.

The long serving Alsager councillor, who covers West Ward, is currently deputy mayor of Cheshire East.

Cllr Rod Fletcher (Lib Dem) was voted through as mayor-elect, unopposed, but the  appointment is dependent on the outcome of May's local elections.
