Pupils at an Alsager primary school can now perform on stage until their hearts are content – thanks to a new state-of-the-art stage.

Alsager Highfields Primary School has a new purpose-built stage complete with storage units underneath for costumes and equipment.

The stage equipment, costing around £4,000, was bought by the school' Parents and Friends Association (PFA)

Teaching assistant and treasurer of the PFA, Gemma Langsdale said: "We're delighted with the new stage.

"It means we can hold performances in school and also now practise whenever we need to."
