Congleton Nub News has joined forces with a regular reader to share a 'Cocktail of the Week' feature.

This week, Josh is bringing you a sweet cocktail to get you in the festive spirit.

The 'Cranberry Cooler' is inspired by the classic American cooler, but has been spruced up in anticipation of the festive season.

Find out how to make it below...

Ingredients:

  • 50ml white wine
  • 50ml cranberry juice
  • 25ml amaretto
  • egg white or 25ml aquafaba (the liquid from a tin of chickpeas)
  • generous squeeze of lemon juice

Method:

  1. add plenty of ice to a tumbler to chill it
  2. put all of your ingredients into a shaker with ice
  3. shake hard for 30 seconds
  4. remove the ice from your glass if you like a strong cocktail or leave some ice if you like it long
  5. strain your shaken cocktail into the tumbler
  6. enjoy!

If you're feeling really festive, garnish with a sprig of rosemary to give Christmas tree vibes.

Check back next week for another Cocktail of the Week, shared each Friday to get the party started.

Alternatively, take a look at last week's cocktail feature here.

Share your own feature by clicking the 'Nub It' button at the top of the News page.
