This Client has a fantastic fleet of vehicles and can offer regular work all year round.The Job Start times vary between for days and for nights. Tramping and nights out are planned in advance. When discussing this job, please let us know your preferred shift pattern, we can offer excellent flexibility with work across all 7 days.You will be delivering ambient goods to the client's customer network around the UK. Drivers will be using a combination of curtain side and container trailers. Most of the deliveries will be to large RDC's. The Driver HGV Drivers applying for this job will need to have held their Class 1 (Cat C+E Licence for at least 12 months with no more than 6 minor points for insurance purposes. To audit compliance against Quality Management Systems, GMP and HACCP controls, raising all non-conformances against relevant standards with objective evidence. Effectively communicating to enable the operational teams to take the appropriate and necessary corrective action - then following up and monitoring completion of actions. Take samples (micro, nutritional, swab and organoleptic) against specific schedules and communicate the progress in a timely manner. Prepare and facilitate taste panels in accordance with procedure - ensuring that all results are accurately recorded and communicated to site. Calibration of measurement equipment in accordance with schedules and procedures. Assist the QA Supervisor in carrying out full investigations on specifications (micro and nutritional), complaints and incidents. Support NPD trials and product launches, assisting in micro testing and product life assessment to ensure products are manufactured to the correct standard as necessary. Providing technical support and advice to the factory team in the event of customer visit or audit. Coordination of day to day activities to deliver improvement of Technical KPIs. Operate in a safe working manner and support the site/business on continuous improvement relating to health, safety, and the environment.

Lead and drive standards of Hygiene, Health and Safety and Technical requirements to ensure that the business and customer standards are kept and audit requirements are fully met. Ensure set standards are achieved and drive to supersede these standards in terms of visual and microbial improvements. Ensuring that these standards are embedded throughout the factory and demonstrated through the business KPIs. Ownership and management of the site CIP systems in conjunction with documentation for interim and deep cleaning practices. Develop and support a culture throughout the department where individuals feel able to challenge the status quo and encourage feedback from all levels. Drive continuous improvement processes against all areas of accountability. Ensure 100% Internal & External customer service is met with consistently high quality output. Ensure good employee relations are developed throughout the shift through fair, consistent and effective application of HR policies and procedures. Understand and give input to the manufacturing strategy and factory operational plan - translate these into the shift plan. To plan, organise and measure resources in terms of Productivity (people), Efficiency (equipment) and ancillary services (waste management, laundry & chemical supplies) to ensure agreed targets are met. Ensure that the appropriate team structure is in place for the shift and resourced by the right people. Own the training and development of the team to enable progression.
