North West Law firm gear up for talk at National Conveyancing Week
SAS Daniels, the North West-based law firm which has offices in Macclesfield and Congleton, is lending its support to the inaugural National Conveyancing Week (20 - 24 March 2023), a nationwide initiative aiming to shine a light on the role of conveyancers in the home moving process.
National Conveyancing Week has been launched to boost the profile of organisations that conduct property transactions, helping to educate and inform the property industry and general public about the often complex role of the conveyancer in helping people to move home.
SAS Daniels' team of conveyancing and residential property lawyers and legal experts will be joining others across the country to help raise awareness by taking part in a series of in-person events, online live panel debates and pre-recorded webinars throughout the week.
As well as lending its support, Jo Unwin, senior associate and operations manager – Residential Conveyancing at the firm has been invited to participate in a panel discussion 'Managing Panel Members to Make the Most of Relationships'.

Congleton Textile company look to its future with a new education programme
Congleton-based sustainable textile manufacturer Meryl Fabrics is looking to its future by introducing a new education programme.
The initiative, which has been created in conjunction with Abbey College Manchester, involves an in-person presentation from Meryl Fabrics® which details the extent to which textile production is adversely impacting the environment, and what can be done to mitigate future harm.
As a pioneer in hi-tech sustainable materials and owners of the first in-house circular economy offering in textiles, Meryl Fabrics® is keen to support future generations in making a difference by introducing 'Meryl Education Programmes'.
As part of a soft launch for 'Meryl Education Programmes', Peter Broom, Meryl Fabrics co-founder and technical innovator, visited Abbey College Manchester and presented to A-Level and GCSE students.
Peter commented: "The last two years has seen us cover a lot of ground in imparting our knowledge on revolutionising the way in which textiles are manufactured, to eliminate microplastic shedding and reduce the overall environmental impact of professional clothing by closing the loop. However, much of this has been industry focused.
"For real, sustainable change to take place, we must capture the attention, hearts and minds of the industry leaders of tomorrow by supporting students keen to make a real difference, such as the individuals we were lucky enough to meet at Abbey College Manchester."

Royal London continues with plans for their old offices in Wilmslow
Royal London has submitted plans for approval to build two large buildings on their existing plot at their former Wilmslow base.
The company moved to Alderley Park in 2021 and is now looking to redevelop its old site.
The application includes developing the 15-acre plot and building four three-storey buildings alongside 1,100 car parking spaces, of which 55 would have EV charging points.
If approved, the full plot would have 180,000 sq. ft of new-build space.
