Thousands of employees from the area have money in the pension fund - from council staff to teachers, police officers and firefighters.

A PENSION fund with almost 100,000 members across Cheshire said it is reviewing its investments in a Russian bank due to the ongoing crisis in Ukraine.

The Cheshire Pension Fund is used by Cheshire East, Cheshire West and Chester, Warrington and Halton councils, Cheshire Police, Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service and more than 200 other organisations across the county including schools, colleges and parish councils.
